The free, open-source software Audacity has recently been purchased by Muse Group. Under this new ownership the privacy agreement has changed (the latest versions of Audacity potentially include spyware!).
Versions of Audacity prior to 3 do not contain this install. KBOO has been training volunteers on Version 2.4.2 since the beginning of the pandemic and will continue to do so for this reason. Here is where you can download the spyware-free version for the different Operating systems.
For Windows select: audacity-win-2.4.2.exe
