Trans-Pacific Partnership

Members of Congress will soon be asked to vote on fast track legislation that would enable trade deals, like the secretive 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), to be rushed through Congress, circumventing ordinary review, amendment and debate procedures. Fast track would strip Congress of its authority over trade deals that affect our jobs, wages, food safety, and access to clean air and water. Many labor, environmental, and other fair trade groups oppose fast track.
