KBOO endorses the Homeless Bill of Rights

KBOO has endorsed the Homeless Bill of Rights Campaign because we believe that no person should be criminalized because they are poor and do not have a home. The Homeless Bill of Rights Campaign (HBRC) now has bills in Oregon, California and Colorado and the Oregon Bill (SB 629 aka the Right to Rest Bil) has a hearing and a rally Thursday, March 12th.  Join the Oregon HBRC on the steps of the Oregon State Capital at 2:00,Thursday, March 12th for a solidarity rally and then head in to the Human Services and Early Childhood Development Committee Hearing at 3:00.

Can’t join the rally and hearing? We still need you! Come to an HBRC Oregon coalition meeting, speak about the bill to groups or organizations you are affiliated with and encourage them to endorse the campaign, write or call your legislator in support of SB 629 today or join the Housing Alliance on March 11th for a day of lobbying for housing rights, including the Right to Rest Bill-  www.oregonhousingalliance.org.
