In the decades before the Civil War, the southern states resisted federal authority by way of the doctrine of nullification, which holds that an individual state has the right to invalidate any federal law which it has deemed to be unconsitutional.

David Cobb – A Declaration to Amend (lecture)

David Cobb, a lawyer and activist, was the Green Party presidential candidate in 2004. He is a leading voice in the Move to Amend the Constitution to repeal corporate rights.

After over 6 years and 60 exhibitions, Launch Pad Gallery is closing its doors. Director Ben Pink joins us. The last group show there will open this month.

Tune in at 6pm to hear music from the upcoming Portland Queer Music Festival, which welcomes 24 LGBTQ and allied bands on July 22 at two venues, with shows starting at 2pm. The all ages show is at Backspace and the 21 and older show is at the Someday Lounge.
