Challenging Corporate Power: an all-day special on KBOO Community Radio
Friday February 10^th from 8 am to 6 pm

As the Occupy Wall Street movement continues to the next stage of building alternative economic structures, pushing for a constitutional amendment to end corporate personhood, and engaging in challenges to corporate power from the local to the international level, KBOO Radio has decided to devote a full day of programming to bring attention to this growing movement.

In our all-day special on Challenging Corporate Power, we will bring you the voices of the Occupy Wall Street movement from Portland to New York to Washington DC, with updates from around the country on organizing efforts and successes.

Think before you pink!  In light of the recent de-funding and re-funding of Planned Parenthood by the Susan Komen Foundation, Bread and Roses is taking a look at women's cancer groups, and basic "raising awareness" versus research and action toward beating women's cancers.

Join hosts Nico and Ashley for a discussion with Aruna Jaggar, executive director of Breast Cancer Action,  a national, feminist grassroots education and advocacy organization founded in 1990.  The foundation was created after its founders spent years encountering government agencies and organizations that provided inadequate and superficial information rather than scientific evidence about breast cancer.
