Joe Clement hosts and we hear:
  • Bill Resnick continue his conversation from last week with Al Weinrub. They discuss how cities can lead the way in cutting carbon emissions.
  • Frann Michel brings us the Well-read Red
  • Alan Wieder presents another mini-documentary on Studs Turkel's life and times. This time he looks at influences on Studs, including the wobblies and other working-class intellectuals.
  • Jan Haaken talks with film director Caryn Waechter about "Sisterhood of Night",  a feminist-inspired mystery drama about a group of girls who form a secret society. The film will be screening on opening night of the Portland Oregon Women's Film Festival (aka Power of Women film festival).
