Interview Rachael Meeropol : Lawsuit on Communication Management Units

On August 19th, Federal Prisoners locked in secretive Communication Management Units or CMU's, won reinstatement of their lawsuit against the Bureau of Prisons' for the assignment of prisoners to these secretive units.  Center for Constitutional Rights Senior Attorney Rachael Meeropol will join host Linda Olson-Osterlund to talk about this court victory. The lawsuit maintains there is no due process for prisoners sent to these units. Rather, documents shows a pattern of discrimination and retaliation in CMU placements. These restrictive units known by activists as " Gitmo North"  hold 60% of all Muslims in Federal Prison. They were secretly created in 2006 and 2008.

Meeropol will also give an update on the Pelican Bay solitary confinement case, on which she was an attorney.
