Africa Oyé for the 3rd Thursday of June, 2012, Mike Johnson hosting. The program featured a remembrance of Ndombe Opetum, veteran vocalist with Franco & TPOK Jazz, Tabu Ley's Afrisa International & Tiers Monde. He died of cardiac arrest on May 24, 2012, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Following that, Angolan music, mostly from the 1970's, was featured, along with a few more recent recordings from Rui Mingas & Waldemar Bastos.
