46. Person in Charge
PERSON IN CHARGE
The Station Board or any Committee of the Board or any Committee created by the Board may designate a "person in charge" to invoke and enforce trespass laws. The person in charge has authority to direct persons to leave the premises where the Board or Committee is meeting. Premises includes all property over which the station has authority.
The chair of the Board or Committee is the person in charge unless the Board or Committee makes another designation, which it may do by voice vote. A designation lasts until the participants in the meeting have fully dispersed or the designated person leaves or until the Board or Committee designates another person.
Every time a person in charge directs a person to leave the premises the directive is lawful. No person may remain to dispute the directive. A person who leaves the premises in response to a directive to leave may complain to the Board later. If the Board agrees that the directive should not have been given, the Board may issue instructions governing future directives to leave. If a person fails to leave the premises in compliance with the directive to leave, the Board will not consider any complaint about whether the directive should have been given.
A person directed to leave may not enter station premises unless the person has in his or her possession written authorization signed by the Station Manager or unless minutes of a Board meeting reflect that permission to enter has been restored.
