After every five years of employment, employees may take up to three months of unpaid sabbatical leave. Accrued vacation leave and compensatory time may be applied toward such leave. The scheduling of sabbatical leave must be approved by the Station Manager. KBOO shall make whatever staffing arrangements are necessary, including the hiring of temporary employees, while employees are on sabbatical leave.
