Shahid Buttar is a civil rights lawyer who leads the Bill of Rights Defense Committee and the People’s Campaign for the Constitution  in defending civil liberties, constitutional rights, and rule of law principles threatened by the war on terror. He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2003 and serves on the advisory boards of different civil rights organizations. His comments have been featured in national and international media.  He is also a poet and musician.
