Women Healing Women, The Maher Project

Join host, Linda Olson-Osterlund and guest authors Cynthia Brix and William Keepin as they discuss this remarkable and unique project run by founded by Sister Lucy Kurien. Maher based in Pune India is a sanctuary for abused or abandoned women and children. It is based on interfaith principles and rejects caste in all of its workings. Empowering women is built in to the model and former victims make up the majority of the staff that has housed and helped heal over 1500 women.
