What you can expect:
During this FREE 2-hour event, participants will engage in new and playful ways to meet and connect to others in a facilitated fashion. In addition to Mingling Catalysts and Adult Mixers, attendees will have ample time to follow their own agendas and make meaningful connections. You will be able to connect with others while removing the fear, anxiety or discomfort often present in new connections. Each participant will be able to link themselves with others through a standard 'Speed Dating', which links mutual interests via your individual email.
Upon arrival, each guest will receive a Trinket Treasure chest – full of interactive game pieces for the evening. Guests can use their treasures to mingle in a practice of trading to help each other "survive" the economy. Trinkets are valuable tokens that can be redeemed for discounts on wine, beer, cocktails. appetizers and other prizes.
The facilitated exercise consists of the simple and fun game of "Two Truths & a Lie". Guests will self-select as to whether they want to present and the audience will work in groups to decide which of the three personal statements is the lie. What a simple and great way to get to know others! There is no pressure to present and guests will have a blast deciphering fiction from non-fiction before heading into the open forum. This event is perfect for anyone wanting to get to know people in more meaningful ways through interactive play.
Past participants have shared:
”This was a fun time. The organizers did a great job of structuring the event to give people plenty of opportunity to interact with one another.”
“It was awesome! There were other groups there and it was great catching up with friends and making new ones. It was exciting to meet so many good people.”
Play shop participants are smart, fun, creative and enjoy trying new things. They come from all walks of life and regardless of their social comfort, they agree that there is no better way to spend their time laughing and learning in pursuit of love and happiness.
