League of Women Voters of Portland hosts 90th Anniversary Celebration
On February 14, 1920, when it became likely that women would gain the right to vote, the National American Women’s Suffrage Association was re-organized as the League of Women Voters.
The League of Women Voters of Portland is celebrating the 90th anniversary of this historic event with a light brunch buffet on Saturday, February 13, 2010, from 9:15 – 11:30 am. Jane Cease, former Portland LWV President and Oregon State Senator, and Norman Turrill, current LWVUS Board Member will speak. Come a little early to visit and view the archival display of Portland League history.
The cost is $15 per person. RSVP must be received by noon, Monday, February 8.
