Free Pain Clinic offered at Local Acupuncture Center

Jade Earth Acupuncture, LLC is proud to announce its Free Pain Clinic's One Year Anniversary!

We continue to offer free treatments focusing on pain first and third Fridays each month from 9 a.m.  to 12 noon  (last patient out by 1 p.m.).   Treatments are offered to new and returning patients alike.  The setting is a walk-in, first come first serve, group treatment clinic where patients will each take a seat in a circle; therefore patients must waive their right to privacy for these treatments.   Echo L. Hobbs, the Acupuncturist, spends 5 minutes with each patient focusing on one area of pain; she anticipates being able to treat 10-12 patients per hour in this manner.  Echo realizes that people are losing the ability to access the healthcare they need, and would like to make acupuncture more accessible to everyone in this small way.

Acupuncture is a form of therapy, and unfortunately not a quick cure.  Since regular treatment is usually required to effect healing (In China, treatment is often performed daily; here most people can get better with 2-4 visits per week in the initial stages) this free clinic is not intended to be a curative therapy, but instead as something else a person can add in to his or her regular health care.   Also, Echo asks that patients please always keep in mind that  some kinds of pain are signals of severe underlying medical problems that require treatment.

Due to the volume and nature of this clinic, she is not able to diagnose these problems; thus they  at Jade Earth Acupuncture, LLC strongly urge that everyone have a primary care provider (M.D., N.D., D.O.,) with whom he / she works to find and treat the root causes of his or her pain.   

For the treatment:

Please Do
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Make sure to have eaten within 4 hours of your treatment.
Limit your caffeine and nicotine intake in the 2 hours prior to treatment
Be prepared to sign an informed consent to treat form and agreement to arbitrate in case of lawsuit.
Inform the acupuncturist if you are allergic to nickle.
Turn off all cell phones completely so as not to disturb others.
Ask questions if you have them.

Please do not
Wear perfume or cologne; many people have allergies.
Give blood within the 48 hours prior to your treatment; this makes you likely to pass out during treatment.

Unfortunately, the building is not handicapped accessible; Echo hopes to partner with other health care clinics to offer this service to handicapped patients in the future.
