Here comes the Kboo community calendar for this weekend; January 1st and 2nd.

 

 

Want to practice your spanish, english, or both?  Stop by the Q center this Sunday for Ambiente Bilingual group; a  queer-friendly Spanish/English bilingual discussion group. Half of the meeting will be spent talking in English and half in Spanish. This group is great for all skill levels and beginners are encouraged to attend.  The Ambiente Bilingual Group will meets the first and third Sunday of every month from 2pm – 4pm at the Q Center, located at 4115 North Mississippi Avenue Portland, Oregon..  For more information call 503 234 7837

 

 

Calling all birders, expert and novice alike; the 85th annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count is coming up this Sunday. The Christmas bird count is a great way for birders of all skill levels to enjoy a day in the field and sharpen their skills. Audubon will match beginning birders into teams with skilled birders. Participants will have the opportunity to meet others and discover some good local spots.  All participants are asked to go online and look at a map an area where you would like to help.  The web site for the event is;  Audubon Portland dot org slash about slash events slash c b c 2010

 

 

Books come to life at story times at the library. Each week librarians and special trained staff adapt stories, songs and movement activities to match different age groups.  Next Sunday there will be many different story times for different age groups.  To find out about where and when the story times will be go to; www dot mult co lib dot org slash events dot h t m l
