Join me for another hour of "Danish Radio." What's Danish radio, you ask, and what does it have to do with the Jewish Hour? Years ago - and for all I know it's still true - Danish radio used to be format-free. You'd never know what you'd hear when you tuned in; it could be anything, in any order, or none. Last week I programmed an hour of "Jewish Danish Radio," that is, an hour of Jewish music, played mostly in random order, from all over the Jewish music spectrum: klezmer, Yiddish folk songs, contemporary Israeli music, Ladino love songs, Israeli-Arab world fusion, American singer-songwriters, archival recordings, punk bands, you name it. I had so much fun I'm doing it again this week.
