The filmmaker talks about the film that follows the dogs rescued from Michael Vic's dog fighting ring.

Their names belie their terrible past. Cherry Garcia, Handsome Dan, Little Red, Sally and Mel. But their brutal days spent in a dog fighting operaton are not the subject of this riveting film. In this episode of Voices for the Animals, host Courtney Scott interviews filmmaker Darcy Dennett who explains why instead of focusing on their dark past, she chose to explore the challenges and the successes of the pit bulls who were saved from Michael Vick's sinister enterprise. Darcy has worked on many tv and  film projects and has a long career in television including producing for Oprah, A&E and National Geo's Dogtown. Tune in and hear the stories that though fraught with hardship, also inspire, uplift and show just how resilient a dog's spirit can be.
