The Creation of Money, Banking and the Future of Public Banking

Host Per Fagereng speaks with Ellen Brown author of Web of Debt and founder of the Public Banking Institute about where money really comes from, and who gets the benefits from its creation. Ellen Brown will talk with Per for the first part of the show. After she leaves Per will talk with local activist David Bean of the Institute for New Economic Thinking and take your calls on money, banking and a possible financial collapse.

Ellen Brown will be speaking Thursday Oct. 25th at 7 pm at the First Unitarian Church at SW 12th and Salmon. She will speak on the power of the creation of money and the prosperity distributed by public banking. The talk will be followed by a panel composed of Barbara Dudley, Jared Gardener and David Bean.
Admission by donation, no one turned away.

Additionally she will speak on Sunday, October 28th at 2pm at the Kairos Milwaukie United Church of Christ, 4790 SE Logus Road, Milwaukie, 97222.

Brown will also be available, along with Barbara Dudley and David Delk in addressing responses to the movie Heist, Who Stole the American Dream, which will be shown Friday the 26th at 7 pm at the Unitarian church. at SW 12th and Salmon.

Ellen Brown's primary Oregon engagement is at the Oregon Fellowship of Reconciliation's Fall Retreat on Saturday October 27th at Camp Adams (40 minutes from Portland). She will address their "The Buck Starts Here" Symposium from 10AM - 3PM. She will discuss how an Oregon state-owned bank can work and how it might affect all businesses, and local communities.
