And her Bio from http://maypicard.com/

"Oregon native May Picard has been delighting Portland audiences since she began her undergraduate studies in 2008. May is a formidable talent whose musical abilities and dramatic instincts render her a magnetic presence on stage.

In 2011 May sang her first principal opera role with Portland State University’s renowned Opera Department. Under the direction of Bill Fabris, her portrayal of Rose Maurrant in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene received glowing reviews, The Oregonian praising “her radiant soprano and vulnerable presence,” and deeming her “the heart of the show.”

In 2012 May sang the role of Blanche de la Force in Portland State University’s production of Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites under the direction of David Edwards, a recipient of the Jeannine B. Cowles Distinguished Professorship Endowment. Led by conductor Ken Selden, May gave a moving performance that was met by audiences with great enthusiasm.

Most recently, May sang the role of Magda de Civry in Portland State University’s production of Giacomo Puccini’s La Rondine. Directed by Jon Kretzu, former artistic director of Portland Artist's Repertory Theater, May shared the stage with tenor Zach Borichevsky, Jeannine B. Cowles Distinguished Professor in Residence. May's work on La Rondine earned her the Ruth Dobson Award for Excellence in Opera.

Presently, May resides in Oregon and studies voice in New York City."
