While he is in Portland for a short break he'll give us his view of his native Afghanistan including "the political crisis ensuing the farcical election, resurgent insurgency, various mafias caniblizing the land and its people, a culture of  corruption, a failed and predatory state, the gangsterization and criminalization of the entire society,a fractured and polarized country, massive capital and brain drain, lake of security or peace, creation of a vulture class, mass and massive misery, the treachery, foreign meddling, US/NATO/Western drone-killings, imperialism, duplicity and betrayal, and now the scorching summer. yet, the incredible resilience of the common people."
