We mailed ballots for our 2010 election to KBOO  members last week.  Member participation is highgly desired, so please take a little time in the next few weeks to carefully review the statements of board candidates as well as the proposed changes to KBOO's Bylaws before casting your vote.  The easiest way to vote is to drop your ballot in the envelope provided, sign the outside of it, stamp it and put it in the mail.

We concluded our drive at 7pm extremely close to our overall goal of $95,000.  We finished the on-air drive with $93,735, or 98.7% of the goal.  You can help make up this small gap by donating here. 

Next week we'll finish entering all the pledge info into our database and order any thank you gifts that are not currently in stock.  Those will hopefully arrive by the first week in June at which point we'll send them out to you.

With less than 3 hours to go, we're now under $1500 away from our total Spring drive goal of $95,000.  This money comes from our listener-members and covers our basic operating expenses, which amount to $83 per hour or nearly $2000 / day.

Between Thursday April 29 and Saturday May 15, our generous and loyal listeners and volunteers will raise $95,000 for KBOO so we can stay on budget this year.  We raise our annual budget each and every year, with contributions from our membership accounting for nearly 80% of that money.  So it's important to do your part since you value KBOO.

Since its creation over two decades ago, KBOO donors have heartily embraced our monthly giving program.  And why not?  Automatic monthly giving is a really easy, and secure, way to give a little more to your favorite radio station, while reducing the impact of each donation on your budget.  And I speak from experience, as I've donated via EFT for the last 15 years with no glitches whatsoever.

During our February 18th special to fundraise for Haitian earthquake recovery efforts, KBOO listeners generously donated nearly $12,000 to support four organziations picked by KBOO.

Now that we've tallied all the actual payments, we're happy to report that we exceeded (by about $500) our goal of donating  $10,000 to these organizations.  We will very shortly mail checks for just over $2,600.00 each to these groups:

This week, we're busy working out mailing the first batch of our brand-new membership cards.  Thanks for your patience if you've been wondering when your KBOO membership card would arrive.

The final tally of pledges from our special day of programming for Haiti earthquake recovery efforts is $11,903! 

KBOO is donating 100% of all dollars raised, to be equally distributed to Konbit pou Aiti (Working together for Haiti), Our Soil, Honor and Respect Foundation, and  HACAOT.

So as of 5:30pm, we've raised just over $6,000 for Haitian relief efforts through our special day of programming.  But the special goes until 10 pm, and we'd love to reach $10,000 before then.  We'll accept donations online until midnight and then that's it.  If you've not yet contributed to earthquake recovery efforts in Haiti, please do so today through KBOO.

Just a little while ago, we crossed the $50,000 goal for our 2010 Winter membership drive!  Thanks very much to every one who made a donation!  We're all very gratified that you appreciate the work we do.

If you didn't pay on the phone with the volunteer you spoke with, or entered a card # on the webform, please send us your payment or start your monthly deduction in February.  These donations will help pay our bills through the Spring.

Keep in mind also, that we accept donations anytime right here.  And donations outside of membership drives can shorten the drives themselves.

If you requested a thank you gift during the drive, we'll begin sending those out (that are in station) the second week of February.  The rest will be ordered at that time and will arrive at KBOO  soon (I  hope).
