A nineteen-hour mediation session led early this morning to a tentative contract settlement between the Oregon University System and the Service Employees International Union Local 503. The union represents about four thousand classified employees and support staff on the state’s seven university campuses.
 

KBOO’s Jenn Chavez spoke with Edward Hershey, the Communication director of SEIU Local 503, for details on the emerging deal.
