A federal judge has denied a challenge by advocacy groups to a congressional rider passed in April that strippped protection of wolves in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Utah. Meanwhile, the US government has made a deal with Wyoming to lift the remaining federal protection of wolves.
