Portland, Oregon based Energy Trust’s Check out Energy Savings Program has been so successful it’s sparked long waiting lists and generated record breaking media coverage for the nonprofit organization. Energy Trust, which helps Oregonians reduce their energy consumption, launched the program, last summer, collaborating with over a hundred libraries across the state to lend out Kill A Watt energy meters.
