Many low income senior citizens throughout the state are facing the propesct of losing their home due to cuts to an essential program that helps them pay their property taxes. The Oregon House passed a bill last month that makes changes to the state's property tax deferral program. One of the most controversial changes disqualifies people with reverse mortgages from participating in the program, which effectively targets people who rely the most on its assistance.
