The Cascadia Forest Defenders held a press conference in Eugene yesterday calling on the Oregon Department of Forestry to protect Elliott State Forest from logging. Over the last month, the group has held tree-sits, blockades, and a takeover of a state office to try to stop the logging of old-growth trees in the forest.
