BLM Rejects Mining on Mt. St. Helens

Today the Oregon Bureau of Land Management, rejected the hardrock lease application for a site near Mount St. Helens.

According to the BLM, an Environmental Assessment conducted in 2007 was unclear in its findings, and that the mining could result in mineral development exceeding what is allowed on federal land.
