Youth are safe in schools, right? We'd like to think so. The truth is safety in school depends on many factors. Often, LGBTQ youth face verbal harrassment, sometimes daily. Some LGBTQ youth face violence in school. The Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network's (GLSEN) 2007 National School Climate Survey found some frightening statistics.
