"Community media" - citizen-operated print, broadcast and digital technologies - is filling the information needs of a growing number of Americans.

Sit/Lie Unconstitutional! Cause for Celebration? Well...Not Really...

A judge has ruled the Sit/Lie unconstitutional but Police Chief Rosie Sizer released a memo stating that all the judge ruled was that Portland should just use disorderly conduct instead of Sit/Lie. That is not what the judge ruled and her vague memo creates NO meaningful distinction between the Sit/Lie and disorderly conduct. This is not how the city should react to the loss of the constitutional legitimacy of the Sit/Lie.

David Irving is a British Author, and a revisionist historian who denies the Holocaust ever happened. Irving's reputation as a historian was widely discredited after he brought an unsuccessful libel case against the American historian Deborah Lipstadt and Penguin Books in 1996. During the trial, an English court found that Irving was an "active Holocaust denier",as well as an anti-semite and racist, and that he associates with right-wing extremists who promote neo-Nazism. David Irving has a speaking engagement planned for Portland on July 19th. There is a call by Rose City Antifa to shut the event down. Tonight on Circle a Radio, we talk to Eric Ward, of the Center for New Community, who gave a witness statement in the Irving v. Penguin trial.
