Rolf filled in on this show. I got a lot of calls, both positive and negative (though fortunately the positives outweighed the negatives two to one) Most of the stuff (except first song) released and/or recorded in 1968.

This is Frederic from Saturday Morning's Swing & Country. I'll be sitting in for Uncle Mort this afternoon. Duning the summer on Swing & Country I do a lot of songs about Hot Rods and songs about Cars from the 1940s and 1950s. This will give me a chance to get into the 1960s songs about Cars and Hot Rods. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Uncle Mort
OK. So what happened to Uncle Mort???????
Come on, we're big kids, just tell us what went down and why he is off of the air.
Thank You
Bring it To Jerome
This Manfred Mann song is one of those great Rock and Roll mysteries that rocks hard largely because it's meaning is oblique. Who is Jerome? What will Jerome do with "IT" once "It" has been Delivered? Why do I feel that I must obey? Do I fear Jerome's retribution? Is Jerome the God of The Old Testament, both to be worshippped and feared? Is to defy Jerome to be uncool, or, in the Biblical nomenclature, be condemned to Eternal Damnation?
I feel the weight of Jerimiah. Perhaps it should have been, Bring it to Jerimiah", or, "Bring it to Jaweh".
SIncerely, Elman Erwin, Junior in Bible studies, University of Portland.
Jerome knew Diddley

Uncle Mort's song choice at 3:55pm Monday
It was one tune before the Manfred Mann song, and it was a rock'in Rockabilly tune. You came on and apparantly forgot what it was. Can you tell me who did it and it's title?

Rockaholics Anonymous cancelled!?!?
So I hear rumors that Uncle Mort was axed. I hope this isn't true. Rockaholics Anonymous is the only thing on this station that I listen to every week. Not that the other programming is bad, but it's not must hear radio like RA has been.
