Police Misconduct in Colorado

A video was released last week portraying Denver police Officers beating a gay couple without apparent provocation.  In response, members of Denver's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community joined in calls for a zero tolerance policy on excessive force violations and demanded the termination of the offending officers.

This news comes as the Denver Police Department and the Denver Jail have come under fire for three high-profile cases of excessive force.  KBOO's Rebecca Nay spoke with Crystal Middlestat, who is a co-director of Colorado's Anti-Violence Program.
