Public Statement from the KBOO Foundation Board of Directors

Categories:

November 27, 2012

Regrettably, at the Board of Directors meeting, Monday, November 26, 2012, Director John Mackey was removed from the Board, for conduct harmful to the corporation.

Specifically, Mr. Mackey was removed for disclosing information during a public session of the Board, October 22, 2012 ─ information that he had previously acknowledged was not appropriate for public disclosure, but should only be discussed in a closed session of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Mackey knew that the information was not appropriate for public disclosure. On at least two occasions, Mr. Mackey stated that the information should be discussed in closed session. Mr. Mackey publicly disclosed information he knew should not be, disregarding his own advice.

Thank you to all of our listeners who donated cloths, coats etc to the Pine Ridge Rez kids!!!!!!!!!!

We at "Tillicum Wawa" program would like to heartily thank all of our listeners who donated all the coats, warm cloths and shoes to the children k-12 grades on  the Pine Ridge Rez.. Donations are still coming in and we will see that they are all sent. A load of shoes went out last week, $360.00 of shipping charges were payed by an un-named doner for the next load.

The children will be so happy to be warm this winter. The U.S. Census dept has listed the popuation of the rez at around18,000 people, when in reality  there are around 40,000 folks that live there. So their alottement of funds for cloths is very little. I'm sure that other reservations have the same problems.

Wado and thank you sincerely, The kids on Pine Ridge, Tillicum Wawa crew and KBOO radio
