Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki and working for a nuclear free world
Celeste Carey and Cecil Prescod speak with Sean Tenney, Associate Director of Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility  (PSR), and performing artist Chisao Hata about the importance of remembering the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and working for a nuclear free world.

Oregon PSR and partner organizations invite the public to participate in "70 Years After Hiroshima and Nagasaki: The Ever-Present Nuclear Threat" on Thursday, August 6th, 2015 beginning at 6:00 PM at the Japanese American Historical Plaza (Waterfront Park at NW Naito Parkway and Couch Street in Portland).

This free and open event will feature speakers including atomic bomb survivor Michiko Kornhauser and anti-nuclear activist Carol Urner, with emcee Ronault LS Catalani and performances by Portland Taiko, Tomodachi Chorus, Sahomi Tachibana’s dance group and more. There will also be opportunities for attendees to learn more about and to get involved in international efforts to abolish nuclear weapons.
